Recommend a book?

I arrived at the studio today to find the following message in one of my inbox:

Do you recommend a book that will help me learn website management, how to post a picture, add text documents to a site, etc. Very basic stuff that will lead me into more complicated. I taught myself to knit from a book, and hope to teach myself how to set up a website this way too.

While I am certain the sender was very serious, the email just struck me as hillarious!  I somehow can't seem to make the "tie" between web design and knitting.

What an excellent roast!

Reminds me of the guy in the yellow shirt that a great number of us last night at the tech night had the pleasure of talking to. He knew nothing about asp.net or c# but was convinced that since we was a language teacher he should be able to pick the stuff up. Somehow I think he thought he could do that during the corse of the evening. I think Mintz convinced him he should talk to Jones. Jones sent him my way and I passed him off to Sandvig. Did anyone else talk to this guy? Rusty, you don't know what you missed.

I hope the tech night was at least a little productive. It drive me batty when I get cornered in conversations like that.

I know a few people that say things like "just design something for this page, write the code for it and come up with the content. It will be easy and should only take an hour." Basically, this is someone who doesn't value what we do the same way we value it.
